Kitty Palace Cattery offers TICA-registered Munchkin kittens for sale, raised at home in New Jersey and delivered throughout the northeastern USA. The short legs come from a natural genetic trait, and our kittens run, climb and play with all the energy of any other breed.
What to Expect From a Short-Legged Cat
A Munchkin moves like any other kitten, just closer to the ground. Every day, our kittens race through the house, wrestle with their littermates, and climb the cat tree by pushing off with their strong back legs. Tall counters usually take two hops instead of one, which is the only real limitation you will notice. They share the same beautiful coats, the same expressive faces, and the same friendly character as other cats. The choice comes down to what you prefer to look at, because both short-legged and standard-legged kittens are equally lovable.
Straight and Fold, in a Wide Range of Colors
We breed both Munchkin Straight and Munchkin Fold. The Straights have upright ears, while the Folds carry the softly folded ears that give the face its owl-like look.
Our colors run from silver and golden chinchilla to lilac, chocolate, blue and marble.
Living With a Munchkin
Munchkins are curious to the point of comedy. They investigate every bag that comes through the door, supervise whatever you are doing, and carry small objects around the house for reasons of their own.
That confidence also makes them sociable. They approach visitors rather than hiding from them, and they settle in quickly with children, dogs and other cats. However, a Munchkin does expect company. This is not a breed that thrives alone in an empty house all week.
Setting Up Your Home
Short legs change a few practical details. First, keep bowls, beds and litter boxes at floor level with low sides. Then add a step, ramp or low perch to anywhere you want your cat to reach, such as a windowsill or sofa back.
Beyond that, care is ordinary. Brush the coat weekly, keep claws trimmed, and feed a normal balanced diet.
Our Munchkin Kittens
Each kitten leaves us vaccinated, dewormed, litter box and scratcher trained. We handle every kitten daily from its first week, so they arrive used to people.
Delivery is charged by distance. We serve NY, NJ, PA, CT, MD and MA.
You can read the official breed standard on the TICA Munchkin page and verify our registration in the TICA breeder directory.

Our Waiting List Is Now Paid
We’ve made an important change to our Waiting List.
Previously, our free Waiting List was based on our planned/general breeding schedule, which meant families could sometimes wait longer for a kitten that matched their preferences.
To provide a better experience for our clients, we’ve decided to make our Waiting List paid. This allows us to plan special breeding pairings based on the preferences and needs of families on the list, so you won’t have to wait as long for a suitable kitten.
Joining the Waiting List now requires a $250 fee, which will be applied toward the purchase price of your kitten.
All registered Waiting List members will receive advance information about upcoming litters, including estimated birth dates (±1–2 weeks), expected colors, and breeds — British Shorthair, Scottish Fold, Scottish Straight, Munchkin, and Munchkin Fold.
If you’d like to receive future kitten announcements and priority updates, you’re welcome to join our Waiting List:
What happens if I don’t find a kitten I like
Your $250 waiting list fee is non-refundable, but your place on the list remains active for future litters until a suitable kitten becomes available.
How long is the waiting list valid
Your place on the waiting list remains active until you purchase a kitten or the cattery permanently closes.
Can I request specific traits for my kitten
Yes, you may specify preferences such as sex, coat color, pattern, ear type, or coat length. Please note that preferences do not guarantee a specific kitten and may extend wait times.
How will I be notified when a kitten is available
We will contact you by email or phone when a kitten appears to be a good match. You will have 24 hours to decide whether to proceed with the purchase.
What if I decline a kitten
If you decline, the kitten will be offered to the next approved applicant. Your spot on the waiting list will remain active for future kittens.
How are kittens offered
Kittens are offered based on waiting list order, availability, and suitability, ensuring the best match for each kitten and family.
If you prefer not to join the Waiting List or receive notifications, no problem at all! You’re always welcome to visit our website at any time to check for newly available kittens and the latest updates.
Thank you for your understanding and interest in Kitty Palace Cattery!
