Meet Marquis, a tiny fold munchkin male with a black silver shaded coat, folded ears, and a confident, sociable personality. He stands out for his balanced proportions, round head, full cheeks, and even short-leg structure. His shaded silver coat adds another distinctive feature, giving him a rich appearance while preserving the pale undercoat beneath.

What Makes Marquis Stand Out

Marquis has the kind of structure that attracts attention from experienced Munchkin enthusiasts. His ears have a defined fold, his head is rounded, and his body proportions are balanced. His shaded coat also gives him more depth than a lighter chinchilla pattern, especially in natural light.

What “Show Class” Actually Refers To

Judges assess a Munchkin Fold on the fold itself, on head shape, on body proportion and on coat quality. Marquis has a tight, low-set fold rather than a loose half-bend, a round head with full cheeks, and even leg shortening on all four legs, which is less common than people assume.

His shaded silver coat is the other element. Shaded means the black pigment extends further down the hair than on a chinchilla, roughly a third of the shaft, so he reads darker and richer while keeping the pale undercoat that makes silver glow.

None of this changes what he is like to live with. It matters only if you intend to show him or to breed under a registered prefix.

What He Is Like at Home

Confident and sociable. He plays hard with feather toys and soft mice, explores every room he is allowed into, and stays close to people because he genuinely wants the company.

Because he grew up inside our home rather than in a cattery room, new spaces do not unsettle him. He already keeps to a stable daily routine, which is part of why he settles so quickly.

Practical Readiness

He uses his litter box and scratching post without prompting. Our vet has vaccinated him for his age, dewormed him and examined him fully, and he comes with a complete health certificate.

As with any Munchkin, keep bowls and beds at floor level and add a low step to any perch he should reach.
