Boston is a black silver marble chinchilla Munchkin Straight male, and he is the most active kitten in our current Munchkin cat sale. That is worth knowing before you enquire, because energy level matters more to daily life than colour does.

How Much Energy Are We Talking About?

Two or three real play sessions a day, ten to fifteen minutes each. He wants a teaser toy or a soft ball and someone on the other end of it. Left with only static toys, he invents his own games, usually involving something he has knocked off a shelf.

Between sessions he switches off completely and sleeps near whoever is around. As a result, the house is not chaotic — it just has punctuation.

Who That Suits

Homes with children, or with another young cat, tend to be a good match, because there is always someone willing to throw something. People who work from home suit him too, since he treats a midday break as scheduled.

However, if you want a cat that mostly sleeps and asks for little, one of his quieter littermates would serve you better. We are happy to point you at them.

His Coat

Silver marble chinchilla is an uncommon combination. The chinchilla tipping keeps the base of each hair pale, so the coat looks bright, while the marble pattern lays broad swirls over it rather than narrow stripes. In motion the two effects work against each other, which is why he looks different in every photograph.

Settling Him In

Prepare a cosy bed, a few safe toys and one quiet corner for the first days, then let him explore at his own pace. His litter box and scratching post habits are already reliable, so there is nothing to train.

Because of the short legs, keep his bowls and bed at floor level and give him a step up to anywhere high he should reach.
