Kitty Palace Cattery is a TICA-registered home cattery in New Jersey with Scottish Straight kittens for sale across the northeastern USA. Scottish Straights carry the same round faces and plush coats as their folded-ear siblings, but with upright ears.
The Same Litter, Two Sets of Ears
Scottish Straights and Scottish Folds come from the same breeding. Every kitten in a Fold litter is born with straight ears. At around three to four weeks, the ears of kittens who inherited the fold gene begin to bend forward. The rest keep their upright ears and become Scottish Straights.
A Cat That Fits Around Your Life
Scottish Straights are calm without being dull. They greet you at the door, follow you between rooms, and settle wherever you happen to sit down. However, they rarely demand attention loudly, which is why they suit both quiet apartments and busy family homes.
They also adapt well. New furniture, visitors and moves unsettle them less than they unsettle many breeds. First-time owners find them forgiving of mistakes, while experienced cat people appreciate how little drama they bring.
Coats, Colors and Care
The Scottish Straight coat is dense and plush. Ours come in silver and golden chinchilla, blue, chocolate, lilac, black and marble patterns, in both shorthair and longer-coated kittens.
Care is simple. Brush once or twice a week to keep the coat in condition, trim claws regularly, and feed a balanced diet. Beyond that, the breed asks very little.
How We Raise Our Kittens
Our kittens grow up underfoot in our family home, so they arrive confident and used to handling. We pick them up, brush them and introduce them to household noise from their first week.
Each kitten and completes vaccinations and deworming. Each kitten also learns reliable litter box and scratching post habits.
Available Scottish Straight Kittens
Delivery is charged by distance. We serve NY, NJ, PA, CT, MD and MA.
You can read the official breed standard on the TICA Scottish Straight page and verify our registration in the TICA breeder directory.

Our Waiting List Is Now Paid
We’ve made an important change to our Waiting List.
Previously, our free Waiting List was based on our planned/general breeding schedule, which meant families could sometimes wait longer for a kitten that matched their preferences.
To provide a better experience for our clients, we’ve decided to make our Waiting List paid. This allows us to plan special breeding pairings based on the preferences and needs of families on the list, so you won’t have to wait as long for a suitable kitten.
Joining the Waiting List now requires a $250 fee, which will be applied toward the purchase price of your kitten.
All registered Waiting List members will receive advance information about upcoming litters, including estimated birth dates (±1–2 weeks), expected colors, and breeds — British Shorthair, Scottish Fold, Scottish Straight, Munchkin, and Munchkin Fold.
If you’d like to receive future kitten announcements and priority updates, you’re welcome to join our Waiting List:
What happens if I don’t find a kitten I like
Your $250 waiting list fee is non-refundable, but your place on the list remains active for future litters until a suitable kitten becomes available.
How long is the waiting list valid
Your place on the waiting list remains active until you purchase a kitten or the cattery permanently closes.
Can I request specific traits for my kitten
Yes, you may specify preferences such as sex, coat color, pattern, ear type, or coat length. Please note that preferences do not guarantee a specific kitten and may extend wait times.
How will I be notified when a kitten is available
We will contact you by email or phone when a kitten appears to be a good match. You will have 24 hours to decide whether to proceed with the purchase.
What if I decline a kitten
If you decline, the kitten will be offered to the next approved applicant. Your spot on the waiting list will remain active for future kittens.
How are kittens offered
Kittens are offered based on waiting list order, availability, and suitability, ensuring the best match for each kitten and family.
If you prefer not to join the Waiting List or receive notifications, no problem at all! You’re always welcome to visit our website at any time to check for newly available kittens and the latest updates.
Thank you for your understanding and interest in Kitty Palace Cattery!
