What Silver Marble Means

Chinchilla silver describes how the colour sits on each hair: pale at the root, with only the tip carrying black. Marble refers to the broad swirled pattern laid over that silver, rather than the narrow stripes of a classic tabby.

Together they produce a coat that looks bright and almost frosted, with dark scrollwork across the sides. Because both traits have to line up, this combination appears less often than solid or striped coats.
