Munchkin Blue Golden Chinchilla Kitten – Meet Mini

Mini is a male Munchkin Straight born on 1 July 2025 at our TICA-registered cattery in New Jersey. Our TICA breeders focus on careful socialization, veterinary care, and raising kittens in a family environment. His coat is blue golden chinchilla — a warm golden undercoat with cool blue tipping on the very ends of each hair.

What the Blue Golden Chinchilla Coat Looks Like

The tipping sits so lightly on the hair that Mini reads as a different cat depending on where he is standing. Near a window the golden undercoat comes through and he looks warm and sunlit. In a shaded room the blue tipping takes over and he turns silvery. Up close you can see the shading is only on the tips, with the warm colour running underneath.

Mini’s Temperament

Mini is steady rather than boisterous. He watches a new person or a new object for a moment before deciding to get involved, and once he has decided, he stays close. He is not a cat who announces himself — he arrives quietly, settles beside you, and keeps you company without asking for anything.

Living With a Short-Legged Cat

Munchkins move differently rather than less. Mini walks, trots and turns quickly, but he takes stairs and furniture in stages instead of one jump. Keeping his bowls, bed and litter tray at floor level, choosing a tray with a low entry side, and adding one low step up to a favourite perch is the whole of it.
