How He Differs From His Littermates

Put four Munchkin kittens in a room with a new toy and three of them will reach it at once. Ivar, on the other hand, waits, works out what everyone else is doing, and then takes his turn without any fuss. He plays as much as the others, but not at the same volume.

The same pattern shows with people. First his siblings mob a visitor at the door. Afterward Ivar arrives, sits down nearby, and stays for the rest of the visit.

How He Compares to the Breed

Munchkins have a reputation for confidence and mischief, and they earn it. For example, they open cupboards, carry objects around and investigate everything at floor level. Ivar has the curiosity without the chaos.

As a result, he suits a quieter household better than the average Munchkin, and he also suits an older owner or a home that already has a boisterous pet. If you want a cat that entertains the whole room, one of his brothers would suit you better. If you want one that sits with you, however, choose Ivar.

What His Blue Coat Means

Blue means diluted black: in other words, the same pigment spreads thinly along each hair, which softens it to an even blue-grey. On a Munchkin the plush texture makes it look denser than it is. Therefore it needs a brush once or twice a week to stay that way.
